Spinbot Arena
Fighting/Sports | PC | Unity | School Project | 2 Months | 2022

On the first arena, the layout changes every 20 seconds in a set order, each layout being more tricky than the previous one.

The game the spin for the main attack, and a counter to retaliate against players that use the spin.

To keep track of every aspect of the project, I made an interactive google sheet.

Since we were working with sound designers from another school, we needed to make it extra clear for them.

List for the game programmers.

I made multiple diagrams similar to this one to explain the mechanics to the game programmers.

One of the creative briefs to explain mechanics to the game programmers

Flowchart made to maps the different situations a player could encounter, in the purpose of balancing the mechanics early into the project.

Project Description

Our big project for the third year at IIM was a couch game made on Unity. It was our biggest project yet, both in terms of time and size of the team. Adding to our team at IIM, we also had to coordinate with audio designers from Audio Workshop, which went pretty well.
The development started at the end of September and ended at the half of December, with classes in-between so the amount of work is around 2 months.

I was both a game designer, a level designer and a producer on the project, I had to work on many fronts to make sure the project was going well. Overall the production went very well from beginning to end, and the end result was more than satisfying.
